由全国人大副委员长周铁农题写校名的湖北木兰山文武学校，地处中国国家地质公园木兰山风景旅游区，与中国历史文化名村大余湾毗邻。学校创建于1992年，是一所以武术、散打、英语、计算机教学为特色，集小学、初中、高中文化教育于一体的综合型全日制九年义务教育民办学校。

　　学校现代化教学设施设备齐全，仿古建筑别拘一格，楼台亭阁典雅壮观，校园绿树参天，花草飘香，运动场地高低错落有致，山水相融，校园文化氛围浓郁，是学子们陶冶情操的乐园，习武修文的学园。

　　MulanshanWenwuSchool with the superscription by Zhou Tienong, vice chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference was founded in 1992. It is a civil-run school of full-day 9-year compulsory education and comprehensively featuring Wushu, free fight, English, computer and integrating primary school, junior and senior school cultural education.

　　The school is situated within Huangpi District, WuhanCity, reposes in the shrine for Chinese Buddhism and Taoism and also the native place of heroine-Huamulan, the school is famous throughout the world for its graceful natural surroundings and architectural style of unsophisticated simplicity and elegance as well as gardenlike campus layout.

　　Under the leadership of Gan Zhiguo—founder of the school, the school fully implements the Party’s policy on education, regards as tenet cultivating utility talents for socialism market economy who are well versed in both polite letters and martial arts as well as doubly excellent in virtue and gift, regards as educational concept “human maturation precedes talent maturation, human maturation promotes talent maturation”. The school is governed strictly, being pragmatic and creative, adopts enclosed management, open teaching, paying attention to quality and striving to forge name brand. Over 20 years of running, it has brought up and fed over 30,000 qualified talents for the nation; In all previous domestic and international Wushu contests, master sportspersons have had the honor to win medals and cups over 3000 times, total group scores honorably ranked first for 10 consecutive years in Hubei Free Fight Challenges, and has contributed preeminently to the development of Chinese Martial Arts. In successive years, the “advanced worker”, “preeminent youth”, “100 excellent entrepreneurs”, “excellent Communist Party member” and “1st session of excellent principals of civil-run primary and middle schools in Hubei” and such honorary titles are conferred on Principal Gan Zhiguo. CCTV, Hubei TV Station, Hubei Economic TV Station, Wuhan TV Station, People's Daily, China Educational Report, Hubei Daily, Changjiang Daily, Chutian City Post, Wuhan Evening Post, Wuhan Morning Post, Chutian Golden Post and such major media have vied with each other to report the advanced deed of running the school.

　　Presently, the school has become the appointed feeding unit of Wushu talents for athletic colleges in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an and Wuhan.
